Meksta warranty terms
We stand behind our work. The warranty specifically covers work carried out correctly and the parts we have supplied. If a step in our process was not done correctly, or a component we supplied turns out to be defective, we put it right at no extra cost.
Periods and terms
Full engine reconditioning
1 year or 100,000 km (whichever comes first). Requires fitting by an authorised workshop, that all wear parts are replaced, an oil change no later than 800 km and that a full service book is kept.
Individual jobs
12 months from the delivery date. Applies only to the work Meksta carried out, e.g. cylinder boring, cylinder head resurfacing, crankshaft grinding or cylinder head reconditioning.
12 months. Requires the lubrication and cooling systems to be in good condition at fitting. Meksta may request photo documentation of the system as a condition of the warranty.
The warranty applies to original engine reconditioning under normal use, provided all fitting is carried out professionally. The warranty period runs to its original end date. A claim that is approved and put right does not extend the period.
Performance and tuning are not covered by the warranty.
What do we cover?
The warranty specifically covers work carried out correctly and parts supplied by Meksta. If we have made an error in our work, or a component we supplied has failed, we take responsibility.
- Faults in our workmanship: if a step in the reconditioning was not done correctly
- Defective parts: if a component we supplied turns out to be defective
- Machining errors: incorrect cylinder boring, resurfacing or crankshaft grinding carried out by us
Important: The warranty does not cover damage caused by external factors. For example: if we recondition a turbocharger that then fails because of excessive oil pressure from the engine, that is not a fault in our work and is therefore not covered by the warranty.
Exclusions and limitations
The warranty covers faults in our work and the materials we supply. The following cases are not covered:
Performance and tuning
Performance work is not covered by the warranty. This applies to cam grinding, porting, turbo upgrade, dyno testing, ecu remapping and other tuning work.
Damage caused by external factors
The warranty covers faults in our work, not damage caused by other components or systems. For example: if a reconditioned turbocharger is damaged by excessive oil pressure from the engine, that is not a fault in our reconditioning.
Modifications and altered software
If the vehicle is modified or the ECU software is altered after the work is carried out, without written approval from Meksta, the warranty is void.
Missing logs and service book
If the service book is missing or oil changes cannot be documented, the warranty terms for full engine reconditioning do not apply.
Incorrect fitting
Full engine reconditioning requires fitting by an authorised workshop. If fitting is done another way and causes the fault, the warranty does not apply.
Damage from racing and competition
Engines used in competition are subjected to extreme loads. Warranty on racing engines is agreed separately.
Neglected maintenance
If the engine is run without correct oil changes (the first change no later than 800 km), without a coolant change or with poor servicing, the warranty is void.
Normal wear
The warranty covers material and manufacturing faults but not normal wear that is to be regarded as expected for the running time.
Overheating and cooling system problems
Damage caused by a blocked cooling system, low coolant level or frost damage due to a weak antifreeze mix.
Customer-supplied parts
We do not warrant parts the customer supplies. Our warranty applies only to components we have supplied.
Claims process
Do you suspect a fault has arisen that is covered by the warranty? Contact us immediately. Do not wait, as running time with a fault can affect the assessment.

1. Contact us immediately
Call 076-324 10 66 or email info@meksta.se. Describe the symptom, state your order or invoice number and do not drive further if you suspect engine damage.

2. Diagnosis
We assess the case based on your description and may ask for photos, fault codes or that the unit be sent in for inspection. Meksta decides whether the warranty covers the fault.

3. Remedy
If the fault is covered by the warranty, we put it right at no extra cost. We tell you the timeline and how we will proceed. The warranty runs on to its original end date.
