Meksta drivs av Robert Wiklund - mekaniker, maskinist och motorbyggare med bakgrund från internationell rallysport. Från vår verkstad i Stockholm renoverar, bygger och optimerar vi motorer för vardagsbilister, entusiaster och racingteam, för kunder i hela Sverige.
Robert Wiklund
Robert's interest in engines started early and led him to a career in motorsport. He has worked on engine builds and reconditioning for over three decades - from rally stages across Europe to the workshop bench.
Rally background
Robert has built engines for Mazda Rally Team Europe and Toyota Team Europe (Celica GT-Four), and worked in GM's rally programme. That's experience that demands every engine deliver maximum performance without compromising durability - under extreme conditions.
That knowledge shows in everything we do at Meksta today. Everyday engine or performance build - we work with the same precision and documentation as in rally sport.
Philosophy
Robert's philosophy is simple: do it right or don't do it at all. Every engine that leaves Meksta has to hold up to what we promised. We measure, document and check - no shortcuts, no assumptions.
We believe in being honest with the customer. If an engine isn't worth reconditioning, we say so. If there's a cheaper way to solve the problem, we recommend it. Trust is built on straight talk.

Our workshop
Meksta is located at Studiovägen 1A, just south of Stockholm. We have a complete machine fleet under one roof - which means we mostly avoid sending your parts out to subcontractors.
Our own machine shop
Cylinder boring machine (Berco ACP 151), honing machine, camshaft grinder, CNC lathe, cylinder head resurfacer, Mira mill and more. All under one roof.

Post parts in for reconditioning
You don't have to live nearby. We take in engines, cylinder heads and turbos by courier from anywhere in the world. Pack them, ship them, and we take care of the rest.
