Work at Meksta
Meksta is always interested in skilled mechanics and machinists who want to work with engine reconditioning, engine builds and performance. With us you get varied work in a fully equipped workshop.
What it is like to work here
Meksta is not an ordinary garage. Here you work on everything from classic cars and daily drivers to racing engines and rally projects. Every job is unique - and demands that you think, measure and machine with precision.
We have a complete machine shop with a CNC lathe, honing machine, camshaft grinder, cylinder boring machine, Mira valve seat cutter and a hub dyno. You get access to equipment that most workshops do not have.
The workshop is located just south of Stockholm. A quiet industrial area with good parking. We normally work Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:30.
What we value
We are not looking for a specific qualification or CV. What matters is that you have a genuine interest in engines, that you work carefully, and that you are not afraid to ask when you are unsure. Robert is happy to share his 30+ years of experience.
Tasks can include
- Stripping and assembling engines
- Cylinder boring and honing work
- Cylinder head reconditioning - resurfacing, porting, valve work
- Camshaft grinding and reprofiling
- Turbo reconditioning and upgrades
- CNC turning of engine components
- Inspection measurement and documentation
- Power runs on the hub dyno
What you can expect

No two jobs are alike. Classic engines, modern turbo engines, race builds.
Learn from 30+ years of experience
Robert has built engines for Mazda Rally, GM and Toyota. He shares that knowledge with you.
Real tools
A complete machine shop - not just hand tools and a lift. CNC, Berco, camshaft grinder and dyno.
Calm working environment
A small workshop in Tyreso. No piecework pressure, no production line.
Who we are looking for
We have no specific vacancies right now, but we are always interested in talking to you if you have the right attitude.

Experience with engine work - stripping, assembly, fault finding. You enjoy turning a spanner and understand how engines work.
Machinist
Used to turning, milling or grinding. Able to work to tight tolerances and read drawings.
Engine enthusiast
Maybe you do not have all the experience yet - but you have the drive and the will to learn. We train the right person.
Interested?
Send us an email with a bit about yourself - who you are, what you have done and why you want to work with engines. Attach a CV if you have one, but it is not required. We put more weight on what you can do and how you think.
